Meet Evie. Evie is 15 years old and started a paid work placement with us at SoulPad today. Here Evie reports on her experience at Latitude Festival over the week-end; -
"The day starts with a car crammed with pillows, snacks and excitement. We were en route to Latitude with a strong lineup and British weather ahead (which to no one’s surprise was a refreshing drizzle and overcast skies.) I was beside myself with joy, despite the pins and needles in my left foot.
We oozed out of the car and prepared for the trek to find a perfect pitch. Now, professional festival-goers like ourselves insist that one trip from car to camp with our luggage is the only way to do it. And so we did; sleeping bags balanced on arms decorated with numerous bags, we trudged onwards.
Once we had finally pitched our tents and found one of SoulPad’s own, Mark, who’d gotten lost in the sea of tents, we were ready to hit the festival.
Latitude has always been one of my favourite get-aways: it isn’t too far away, has a wonderful line-up and is always so beautiful, and for me it is that exactly.
And the winner is...
... Joy Webster.
Many congratulations Joy! We're waiting to hear from you, so please claim your prize within 2 weeks.
UPDATE: Joy has successfully claimed her prize.
Zoe, an employee here at SoulPad, is currently in training for The Moonwalk London 2017, raising funds for the Walk The Walk charity - a charity committed to raising funds for vital breast cancer causes.
Zoe and her pals Emma, Clare and Kate are not particularly sporty. They are currently in training and hoping to be match ready by 13th May.
Please, with your help, we'd like to help the team raise funds for this cause.

Effective setting out and lighting of a fire is a life skill. For some these instructions will seem obvious, but for others this will be new and valuable information. Here is how it's done (you can print this off for later reference).
We are tickled pink, over the moon and deliriously happy to be voted #1 Family Tent on BBC1's "Shop Well For Less". Each team scored the contending tents on style, ease of pitching, space and waterproofing.
The model shown is the SoulPad 5000-ease™ - it remains a firm favorite amongst SoulPad staff and customers alike.
Meet the new SoulPad 5000 hybrid-G-XL. Bigger, Better, Bolder.
Russell and his fiancee Laura are pretty smitten with their new addition. A beautiful, new SoulPad 4000-hybrid, mostly for garden use at their cottage in Oxfordshire. Although Russell has indicated they may venture further afield...
Their mission is simple; 1. find a £200 car, 2. travel from Salop to Saigon. In aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance, best mates Ed & Bruce hope to raise as much money as possible while enjoying an adventure of a lifetime.
When they approached SoulPad for sponsorship we didn't have to think twice.
Another positive review, this time from our friends at Wild Running; -
"To date we’ve spent around 200 nights in our SoulPad. It’s been snowed, hailed and torrentially rained upon, battered by gales and -for a couple of days at least- baked by the sun. We’ve put it up and down so many times we’ve lost count. It’s been dragged around the country in the back of our pickup and subjected to various methods of rigorous testing by two pre-schoolers. And it’s still absolutely brilliant: we’ve had no leaks, no malfunctions and no failures."
Our bezzies over at Pi Productions (a TV production company run by John Silver, who created Grand Designs and reinvented MasterChef) are making a brand new documentary series for a major national broadcaster. The series will follow people as they relocate to start a new life and a new business.
We happen to know they would be particularly interested in following someone taking over or opening a camping/glamping business.
So if you're planning to ditch the 9 to 5 to pursue a career in glamping, this could be a great opportunity to showcase your new venture.
Pi are looking for people who are embarking on their journey this Spring or Summer.
